God, Your Rescuer and Support
No one escapes situations of dire need in life. A young father and neighbor of mine is recovering from surgery to remove a brain tumor. Three months after surgery, he is still weak and relearning to walk. A girlfriend has recently become aware of some childhood sexual abuse and is struggling to deal with it. It has affected all of her relationships and her ability to deal with every day life. Another woman struggles with an unsaved husband who expects her to stay the ungodly woman she was when they married. She feels overwhelmed and unable to cope.
The words of 2 Samuel 22:14-19 remind you that disaster will come, however, you have a powerful God to rescue and support you. Continue to take time daily to get to know your God so that when difficulties come, you will be well acquainted with the only One who can deliver you. Surround yourself with a community of people who will stand with you in prayer and point you back to God in your trials.
