You Can Know God Better
TNIV Scripture for Thursday, June 26, 2008 [Ephesians 1:13-17]
And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession--to the praise of his glory. For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all his people, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.
Paul dedicated a large portion of Ephesians explaining all that God, the glorious Father, did for you through Christ. And according to Paul, God did all that He did through Christ so that you may know Him better. We have this amazing God who went to a lot of trouble to a make a way for you to grow in intimacy with Him where there was no way. May God "give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better."
Beth Warlick, 6/26/2008
