How Great the Father's Love for Us [Ephesians 3]

¹⁴For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, ¹⁵from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, ¹⁶that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, ¹⁷so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, ¹⁸may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, ¹⁹and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. ²⁰Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, ²¹to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.

This prayer is for me and you today.  God wants to establish us in His love; love that is high, deep, long and wide.  This love surpasses knowledge but it is something we can know.  God grants the strength and power to know it.  He does it through His Spirit, who dwells in our hearts by faith.  As we are filled with His love, we are filled with all the fullness of God.  He is able to do this.  It is way above what we can ask or think but He is powerful enough to do this work!

Lord, I praise You that You are love.  You want to fill me to overflowing with the fullness of You.  Root and ground me in Your love today.  I acknowledge that I need You to do this work.
