God's Detailed Instructions [Exodus 26]
1 "Make the tabernacle with ten curtains of finely twisted linen and blue, purple and scarlet yarn, with cherubim worked into them by a skilled craftsman.
God gave detailed instructions for the building of the tabernacle. Much of the rest of the book of Exodus continues with those instructions. The last chapter of Exodus describes the final construction and placement of each of the articles God commanded to be made for each of the rooms. In that last chapter the key phrase is, "just as the LORD had commanded Moses." Moses was precise is doing everything according to God's plan.
The writer of Hebrews shed light on why God spent so much of His Word on describing the tabernacle to Moses.
1Now the main point in what has been said is this: we have such a high priest, who has taken His seat at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, 2a minister in the sanctuary and in the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, not man.

We praise You, God, that You gave us a picture of Your heavenly tabernacle so long ago. Thank You for the work of Jesus that was foreshadowed by the structure Moses built just as God commanded. Cause us to appreciate and grow in our love for Christ and for You and all You have done for us throughout history.
