What Does God Think About Food?

My female mind thinks about my body in terms of size and shape, which in my mind, is ultimately determined by what I eat.  God through Paul, in 1 Corinthians 6, encourages me to not be mastered by food.  "Food is for the stomach and the stomach is for food." (v.13) He adds, "But God will do away with both of them."
Am I mastered by food?  Since I believe that the body is about food, then yes.  Do I think about food all day long?  Yes. I think about food every time I see food, and then I want to eat it.  I am consumed. It has become my master.
But God is calling me to give my body to Him.  To let Him be the master of my body.  He brings to mind the words of Jesus, "You cannot serve two masters.  You will love the one and hate other" (my paraphrase from Matthew 6:24).
Lord, is it true?  When I love food, I hate You?  In that moment, yes.
I want to love You only.  What will that look like?
That will involve an ongoing presenting of my body - a living sacrifice to let You be the Master, You be Lord, not my appetite.  Not food. I haven't been asking You about what to eat, what to cook.  I have been determining those things. I see the pride in this, and I am reminded that the first temptation to sin involved food...Eve was invited to provide for herself rather than let God provide for her.
