Gold, Honey and a Great Reward

TNIV Scripture for Tuesday, August 19, 2008 [Psalm 19:8-11]

The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the LORD are sure, and all of them are righteous. They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb. By them your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward.

God

His precepts (teachings) are right and give joy to your heart
His commands are radiant, giving light to your eyes
Reverence for God is pure and enduring
His ordinances are sure and righteous, more precious than gold and sweeter than honey
His ordinances warn you
Keeping His ordinances give you great reward

God's word is an amazing gift to you. When you spend time reading, studying and learning to live according to the Word in God's grace, not only will you be walking in incredible light and clarity, but your life will produce something more precious than gold, sweeter than honey and end in a great reward!
